A secure and meaningful life is inseparable from the quality of our relationships. While astrology has traditionally centered the individual natal chart, the psyche does not emerge in isolation.
We are born in relationship, formed through relationship, and transformed by relationship. It is one of the primary arenas where universal archetypes become personally embodied—sometimes with an intensity that can feel fated or overwhelming. Astrology offers a window into these archetypal dynamics, and depth psychology helps us understand the human bonds they animate.
Synastry provides a map of the archetypal field that arises between two people, shaping attraction, conflict, projection, and growth. In this talk, we will explore how specific aspects reveal the quality and purpose of a relationship, including its gifts, tensions, karmic themes, developmental challenges, and evolutionary potential. By bringing awareness to these dynamics, synastry can depersonalize conflict while deepening responsibility, compassion, and trust—insights that can be applied both personally and professionally.
We will also examine the parent–child matrix as the foundational relational field from which later patterns unfold. Every birth chart emerges within an existing web of planetary relationships; repeating aspects across generations often point to inherited archetypal tensions seeking new expression.
Drawing from family systems theory, clinical practice, and participatory cosmology, we invite a re-centering of relationship within astrology itself. When relationship becomes primary rather than secondary, astrology becomes not only a tool of interpretation—but a guide to living more consciously within the archetypal field between us.
The talk takes place under a Taurus New Moon conjunct Mercury and Uranus, providing an archetypal backdrop for re-patterning inherited relational values and finding new language for long-standing dynamics.
