Jessica DiRuzza and Christina Hardy have a rich conversation on the Saturn-Uranus cycle of time and how it relates to our current moment (closing song: Travis DiRuzza plays Don’t Stop by Fleetwood Mac).
Christina has been a practicing astrologer for 17 years. After receiving her Masters in Transpersonal Psychology at John F. Kennedy University, she studied archetypal astrology for 5 years at the California Institute of Integral Studies with Rick Tarnas. She then expanded her practice by studying evolutionary astrology under Kim Marie Weimer and became certified in June 2019.
Christina previously worked as a Director of Career & Academic Advising at Youngstown State University in Ohio. She combines her astrological knowledge with her 15 years’ experience helping people find careers that nourish their soul while meeting their practical needs.
She is also a certified Deep Memory Process practitioner (taught by Patricia Walsh) and offers past-life hypnotherapy as a tool for understanding and healing one’s present life issues. She draws upon all these traditions to illumine the evolutionary intent of the soul, helping her clients navigate life’s challenges.

The planets Jupiter and Saturn are in alignment during this time (January 2020 – April 2021). Jessica shares her insights about their archetypal inseparability in our personal lives and reflections on how to live with Joy and Sorrow intertwined. We hope you enjoy this livestream, and we always love to hear your thoughts and reflections below the video on what is happening in your life.
The Great Conjunction is the coming together of two old friends – Jupiter and Saturn. This planetary alignment occurs once every 20 years. Right now, as you look to the southeast after sunset in the northern hemisphere, you will see these two magnificent celestial bodies, known as the Star of Bethlehem. We have cherished our time in viewing these two old friends in the night sky, night after night, here on our little island of Siesta Key in the Gulf of Mexico. Jupiter and Saturn will be visible to us in their conjunction until April of 2021 (began January 2020). This episode of Stream shares our understanding of Jupiter and Saturn. We hope you enjoy, old friend.
All our love and blessings from our family to yours,

I really loved making this Stream this morning with my husband, Travis. We rolled out of bed and made it fresh just for you. We hope you enjoy and it brings some ease and perspective during this wild and powerful times.
Jessica invites Travis DiRuzza onto the podcast to discuss the current Mars-Jupiter-Saturn-Pluto alignment and its relevance for personal and collective themes, such as karma, ancient time, responsibility, incarnation, the current political scene, coronavirus, and the Star of Bethlehem.
Today, January 12th, 2020, is the day so many are talking about. There is a great buzz flying about. Saturn and Pluto have made their exact conjunction (meaning same place in the sky) in the sign of Capricorn, which is ruled by the planet Saturn.
I created this YouTube video last May of 2019 to discuss my understanding, personally and collectively, of this rare planetary alignment. The last time it occurred was in the sign of Libra from 1981-84, meaning Saturn and Pluto make a conjunction roughly every 35-38 years for 3-4 years at a time. It is a longer cycle of time, with both Saturn and Pluto being outer planets, which indicates they are slower moving planets (hence why they come together so rarely and last as long as they do).
It is very important to remember that although most astrologers are focusing on this first exactitude of Saturn and Pluto occurring today, the two planets have been within range of one another for all of 2019 and even back into 2018. This planetary pair will continue to be conjunct the rest of 2020 and fade out into 2021.
Lastly, and I cannot stress this enough, it is much more helpful in understanding this alignment, both for the world and for yourself, if you take in the larger archetypal wave form of Saturn conjunct Pluto already active before today. Your personal life events in correlation to this cycle of time, seen in the coming together of these two celestial bodies, will make more sense in the larger context of what has happened this past year in light of the themes associated with the alignment. Focusing on the day the planets become exact is a ritual of sorts, however, only focusing on today or this month of January as the conjunction beginning is a very (masculine) pointillistic penetration of this moment in time as somehow separate from the days, weeks, and months of this archetypal wave form coming into collective consciousness over the entire past year and even further back.
To be clear, I am in full support of honoring and ritualizing today, January 12, 2020 as the first exact zero degree alignment of these two planets. As a matter of fact, I am on my way now into ceremony. However, I am not at all in agreement that this alignment somehow began today, this month, or even in the very near past. I believe viewing the world transits in such an atomistic manner (with small orbs of influence) comes from an old order of astrological practicer that is not the most helpful in making meaning of both our personal stories and the zeitgeist in correlation to the night sky. This overemphasis on exactitude is like opening to the middle of a book and thinking that that scene can somehow be understood independent of the context of the entire work; or it is like considering the climax of orgasm as all there really is to love-making. Can the climax of anything be understood apart from the build-up and follow-through? Seeing the unfolding of time in a more fluid, wavelike way is much more of a feminine understanding of time (transits) and helps me understand my life in a more relational, coherent, and cohesive way. I will have much more to say about this in my upcoming trustpsyche podcast: Stream.
In the meantime, I send all blessings and prayers for you in this glorious New Year and decade.
