I have a renewed reverence for astrology. Most of which is being brought to light by both witnessing and understanding what our ancestors have done to bring into our world, and through my sky-watching practices and rituals. All of this is happening because I get the great privilege and fortune of studying with Travis DiRuzza in his course, The Astronomy and Cultural History of Astrology.
One thing I love about teaching is connecting with people from all around the world. I work with a diverse group of people from all walks of life. This greatly enriches me and the other students as they get to know one another and form a global community. I have students in Brazil, Mexico, Costa Rica, Columbia, Argentina, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Tasmania, South Africa, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Britain, Scotland, Ireland, Sweden, Germany, Poland, and all across the United States. Wow, am I lucky. ย
During challenging times such as these, coming together in community for our shared love and passion for astrology and what it shows us about the Cosmos, is one way to fortify our spirits and find solidarity with like-minded people. I would love for you to be one of those people.

Transit Astrology is the core of my archetypal astrological practice, for it is the sacred conversation with the Divine. I can think of no other place in my life that I have learned more about myself and the Universe than in my daily transit practice, meaning, that for over the past 13 years now, I have studied my personal transits and tracked them over the course of my entire life – from my birth to 100 years old. What does this do for me? It allows me to better understand and integrate my past, be more present and discerning in this moment, and enhances my ability to intuit and to navigate my future. The Universe has a way of seeing us even when we are not looking, but in my experience, it has even more of a way of looking at us as we look back. Transit astrology is one of the main ways I look back to the Universe and have a meaningful, creative, and fun conversation, often experienced as an intricate and elaborate dance.
Transit Astrology is a sacred practice because it shows me the unfolding of my psyche/birth chart through time over the course of my entire life. I have come to understand the archetypal dynamics that make up my personality, karma/dharma, and my life much more clearly through tracking my personal transits. This spiritual practice deepens my relationship to my higher self, to the Cosmos, and to our World and all those in it.
I have used this technique with thousands of clients and students. What I love about this method of transit astrology is how accurate the timing of transits has been for both me and my clients and the clarity we get from being with this practice.

Jessica and I are expecting our daughter at the beginning of November, and with all the Covid curtailments, this incubation period has been especially creative and productive for us. After completing my PhD in philosophy and religion this year, Iโve had more time to return to music.ย Take Coverย started out as a demo project to get some gigs in bars and restaurants on our little beach island. Iโve always been a bass player and honestly, have always been self-conscious about my singing voice, so this guitar and vocals project has been a humbling growth experience for me, plus all Iโve learned about recording and production along the way. I gathered my favorite songs over the years, ones that I love to play, that touch my heart, and are suited to my voice. The title of the album (besides referring to musical โtakesโ and the cover tunes) reflects the turbulent times weโre living in, especially the first and last tracks. But it also refers to the warm shelter we can offer one another during such times. Ever notice how almost every song ever is a love song, whether jubilant or broken?
Stay tuned for two more albums I am releasing in the coming months,ย The Wicked Wonderย for jazz sextet and narration, andย Perichoresisย which brings together music, dance, visual art, and poetry. Hit the โfollowโ button on the bottom of myย websiteย to stay abreast of all my creations.
Lastly, I want to mentionย trustpsyche school, Jessica and my educational initiative for astrology, psychology, and philosophy. Weโve been busy teaching online classes, webinars, and events, and recently celebrated over 100 students worldwide. Weโre offering threeย new coursesย in 2021 and look forward to hosting in-person retreats in the future.
The Great Conjunction is the coming together of two old friends – Jupiter and Saturn. This planetary alignment occurs once every 20 years. Right now, as you look to the southeast after sunset in the northern hemisphere, you will see these two magnificent celestial bodies, known as the Star of Bethlehem. We have cherished our time in viewing these two old friends in the night sky, night after night, here on our little island of Siesta Key in the Gulf of Mexico. Jupiter and Saturn will be visible to us in their conjunction until April of 2021 (began January 2020). This episode of Stream shares our understanding of Jupiter and Saturn.
