Synastry and Composite Charts: Understanding Relationships with Astrology (with Jessica, Spring 2024). As if interrelating 10 planets wasn’t hard enough, let’s double the number and keep the aspects just as wide! Reading synastry can be daunting, but by learning the hierarchy of significance, and how to group and think combinations in larger complexes, it becomes a potent window onto the core relational dynamics among couples, family, friends & co-workers. We explore the psychology of interpersonal dynamics just as much as astrological technique, bridging the two through the narrative of interpretation. While synastry highlights the pathways of connection, the composite chart speaks to the potential of what a relationship may birth or become.

Astrobiography: Telling Your Life’s Story Through the Stars guides you in making an astrological map of your life up to this point via transits and other timing techniques, and then to draw out the personal narrative that has manifested through these universal symbols, especially in light of repeating planetary cycles. Finally, we will glimpse what these same patterns may hold for our future when they repeat again. This is an invitation to write your own spiritual autobiography in light of the wisdom of the stars.
An Archetypal Approach to the Signs and Houses – Although archetypal astrology emphasizes the planets and their aspects, it is wholly compatible with the traditional meanings of the signs and houses. In this course, we cover those meanings in depth, as well as their history and origins. But furthermore, we draw out how the qualities of the signs and houses are anchored in the meanings of the planets and aspects and can be understood as an elaboration and unfolding of their core essences.

World Transits: Mundane Astrology and the Anima Mundi – World Transits are the specific configuration of the planets at any given moment in time. Mundane Astrology correlates these transits and their qualities to world events in cultural history, politics, economics, society, and more (e.g. scientific breakthroughs, wars, stock market crashes, pandemics, religious awakenings, artistic movements). The quality of the World Transits register the energetic state of the Soul of the World, or Anima Mundi, which is reflected in the zeitgeist, or tempo of the times.
The Astrological Worldview: Metaphysics and Embodiment inquires into the underlying assumptions that make astrology possible, and then goes further by engaging in participatory practices that use astrology to change our lives. On the one hand, we will consider the spiritual outlook associated with an astrological cosmos, and on the other we will try to truly inhabit such a world through a living dialogue with the divine.
