The vibrant sound of Village Klezmer brings the old world melodies and rhythms of the Eastern European Jews to today’s cafes, clubs, and celebrations all around New York City and beyond. Their music is a compelling blend of East and West—firmly rooted in traditional ancient forms, with a contemporary twist. For three years (2003-2006) the group presented weekly shows on Tuesday nights at Cafe Moto in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Members of the band are welcome and frequent entertainers at weddings, bar mitzvahs, and other events around the tri-state area.

Village Klezmer Quintet: Joey Weisenberg (mandolin), Ben Holmes (trumpet), Jeff Perlman (clarinet), Jake Shulman-Ment (violin), Travis DiRuzza (bass).
