I recorded this 35-minute livestream for you on the current Mercury-Mars alignment in the sky for everyone. It is hot and spicy in typical Mars fashion. I hope you enjoy it, and that my talk ignites something for you.
I am having so much fun over on Instagram these days. I recently had a spontaneous and really fun Cosmic Conversation with my dear friend and colleague, Matthew Stelzner, on IGTV.
Matthew asked me to tell a story about manifestation and then we had a philosophical discussion about what it is and how we see it in our lives. Stories from Burning Man and much more.
Dearest Ladies and Gentlemen, Trans Folk, and Humans of all Kind(s),
My magnificent husband— the remarkably intelligent, outstandingly wise, and now scholar of western history and philosophy, Travis DiRuzza, will defend his dissertation on Friday, December 6th at 2PM Eastern Time (11AM Pacific). We cordially invite you to come join in on the fun and celebrations of a 25+ year journey of education! Travis will present for approximately forty minutes followed by questions from his committee and you — the public. All are welcome, so please invite your friends! The more the merrier!!
How does the world relate to the divine? Plato proposes the doctrine of participation to describe this complex relationship in which divinity is both a part of the world and yet apart from it. Participation gives rise to philosophical problems and enigmas that are only fully resolved in the course of a 1200-year evolution culminating in the work of Maximus the Confessor. Travis will trace this history of ideas and then explore how the participatory relationship with the divine may serve as a template for our relationships with each other.
I also hear there will be a fascinating and original discussion of participation, archetypes, and astrology in this defense. Travis’ dissertation already has raving reviews. See you there~!
Today marks the first day of Mercury retrograde in Scorpio. Mercury moves from 27 degrees to 11 degrees of Scorpio for the first three weeks of November. This is a time of reviewing, revisioning, and reforming your relationship to the shared resources in your life – property, deeds, money, anything of high value in your life and to power – sex, sexuality, how you use your libidinal creative life force energy and your shakti power. Mercury is moving through the shadowy realms, unveiling your truest desires and all that keeps you from expressing them with clarity. Distortions from our past, especially in our relationships, are being peeled away during this time.
Please join us this Sunday, November 3rd from 2-3:30PM Eastern Time for Kerri Welch’s free livestream on fractals in astrology. Kerri is a teacher, astrologer, and has devoted her scholarship to time, physics, and fractal consciousness. It will be splendid.

LSD
and the Mind of the Universe: Diamonds from Heaven
In this talk Chris Bache will share some of the boundaries crossed and the lessons learned in his 20-year psychedelic journey reported in his forthcoming book LSD and the Mind of the Universe (November, 2019). 73 high dose LSD sessions conducted between 1979-1999 became the philosophical adventure of a lifetime, but one that he had to keep largely hidden from his colleagues and society. Now that psychedelic sacraments are returning to legitimate scientific and academic discourse, Professor Bache can reveal the story of his extraordinary pilgrimage into the mind of the cosmos, the trials he faced, and the sublime intimacy with the Divine that opened.
Christopher M. Bache is professor emeritus in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at Youngstown State University where he taught for 33 years. He is also adjunct faculty at the California Institute of Integral Studies and a Fellow at the Institute of Noetic Sciences. An award-winning teacher and international speaker, Chris’ work explores the philosophical implications of non-ordinary states of consciousness, especially psychedelic states. Chris has written four books translated into six languages: Lifecycles – a study of reincarnation in light of contemporary consciousness research; Dark Night, Early Dawn – a pioneering work in psychedelic philosophy and collective consciousness; and The Living Classroom, an exploration of teaching and collective fields of consciousness. His new book is LSD and the Mind of the Universe: Diamonds from Heaven.
Forthcoming book, November 2019 release!
Chris is a dear and beloved teacher of ours. For those of you who do not yet know his work, you can check out his books mentioned above. I highly recommend reading all of them. Dark Night Early Dawn was a key book that shaped my cosmology along with Lifecycles. The Living Classroom is a must read for all teachers who practice in a transpersonal pedagogy, upon which my teaching style and approach is based.

Christina is also a certified Deep Memory Process practitioner (taught by Patricia Walsh) and offers past-life therapy as a tool for healing and understanding one’s present life issues. She draws upon all these traditions to with her heart-centered intuition to illumine the evolutionary intention of the soul, and to help her clients navigate life’s challenges.
